ABOUT ME
I'm a freelance features and broadcast journalist specialising in climate, history and entertainment.
As a producer you'll find me in the BBC Radio and Sky News newsrooms. My writing has appeared in publications such as Euronews Green, the Thomson Reuters Foundation and the Women's Media Center.
I'm based in Yorkshire / London and I'm happiest when bingeing a podcast series.

BROADCAST
"Maddie can get conversation out of a rock".
Available for shifts.
I have an excellent track record for booking high-quality guests, casting panel debates and constructing detailed briefs for presenters.

I can respond to breaking news diligently having reported on events such as the Taliban's takeover of Kabul, the murder of a British MP and the verdict of the Ghislaine Maxwell trial.
Practically, I have sound editorial judgement to cut an engaging package or precise grab. My writing is adaptable: I can turn my hand to a well-researched package, chatty live radio or no-nonsense news bulletin.

PODCASTS
'Finding Cupid: The Weird World of Confessions Pages' Investigative long-form series
'The Leopard Pod' Fortnightly local news podcast

With a variety of projects under my belt, from chat shows to long-form narrative series, I can bring accuracy and research skills to your podcast. With my working knowledge of journalism as well as a personal obsession with the medium, I understand the power of podcasting to tell a story.
